  • Key identification features : A rhizomatous shrub. Leaves 8-9 in a tuft, rigid and cross-striped. Flowers are greenish-white in a raceme. Berry is globose.

  • Comments : On foothills to 1400 m, on dry slopes, and gregarious as an undergrowth in crevices of rocks, etc. Less in plains on scrub jungles.
